As part of its continued support for advancing Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) in Hanoi, Mr. Tran Duy Hung, CEO of Monitor Consulting, delivered a presentation and knowledge-sharing session for the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) on key approaches to advancing Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) during a TOD knowledge-sharing workshop on 8 June 2026 in Hanoi.
The presentation explored how integrated planning, innovative financing, and Land Value Capture (LVC) can help align metro investment with urban development to support the expansion of Hanoi's rail transit network. Drawing on international experience and practical applications in Vietnam, Mr. Hung shared policy options and implementation approaches that can strengthen the financial sustainability and long-term success of TOD.
The workshop provided an opportunity for technical exchange and discussion on practical solutions to move TOD from planning to implementation, while reinforcing the role of integrated transport, land use, and financing strategies in shaping sustainable urban growth.
